Overview
Trustfecta is a startup that helps attorneys and their clients keep estate documents in an encrypted digital vault, with control over who can open what and when. We are the product and marketing partner from the first idea through launch, working with AI at every step.
Challenge
Estate plans (wills, trusts, deeds, powers of attorney) are worthless if they cannot be found on the day they are needed. Today they sit in a binder in a drawer or an emailed PDF. Trustfecta needed a product attorneys would recommend and families would trust, and a way to find the first customers before launch, on a startup budget.
Solution
Strategy
- Ran the Venture Evaluation framework: demand signals from attorney and consumer communities, competitive deep dive across legal practice management and attorney marketing tools, and a live financial model
- Defined a two-sided go-to-market: families directly, and attorneys as a trusted channel whose client lists are the cheapest acquisition path
- Scored and sequenced an attorney-facing product roadmap beyond the initial vault functionality
Product
- Wrote the full MVP specification with AI agents: detailed user journeys for trust owners, beneficiaries, and attorneys, then a PRD spec with acceptance criteria, security and performance requirements, and analytics event schemas, ready for the developer
- Designed the transactional email system (templates, design system, handoff docs)
Marketing
- Built the launch pilot with a partner estate attorney: an email sequence to a test client base
- Built and iterated client landing page variants, a tracking spec, and an SEO blog sequence with downloadable checklists
Results
- Launch-ready product, positioning, and roadmap grounded in evidence rather than assumptions, produced in weeks by a three-person product team, one attorney partner, and AI agents
- First attorney partner and their client base lined up for the pilot, with outreach waves beginning at launch
