Venture Evaluation

Find out if your idea is worth building before you build it.

A 10-step check of a business or product idea, whether it is still on paper or already in market. Built on AI research, checked by us, ending in a straight answer with the evidence and a list of what to test next.

A Venture Evaluation hub, open on the document tracker that lists every deliverable of the run with its version and status

What it is

Most decisions to start something get made on a deck and a feeling. This replaces that with a process that pulls real evidence, scores it, and shows you where the risk is. Each step produces a document you can hand to a co-founder or investor.

Planning

  1. Assumptions and risks: scored and ranked across multiple dimensions, highlighting the ones that could kill the idea
  2. Market size and gates: define the TAM, SAM, and SOM with sources, and set the key metrics and thresholds the idea needs to pass to proceed
  3. Competition: map direct and indirect competitors, how their features and price points compare, where the gaps are, and who already tried and failed
  4. Demand signals: find what real people say about the problem in reviews, forums, and communities, and revise the assumptions based on real market input
  5. Financial model: build a working spreadsheet with high, medium, and low 12-month scenarios and adjustable inputs that define customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and the break-even point
  6. Mid-point review: a GO, PIVOT, or NO-GO recommendation based on the compiled evidence and the metric thresholds set in step 2

Go to Market

  1. Audience: personas for each customer type, what they are trying to get done, and what triggers them to act
  2. Value propositions: what to say to each persona, in what order, and how to test it
  3. Marketing plan: define the overall go-to-market strategy: positioning, channels, funnel, content, and budget
  4. Paid acquisition plan: plan the paid acquisition campaigns and how the multivariate experiments will be run

It ends with a confidence score, the verdict, and a ranked list of what to test next.

Everything is delivered in a private web page that links every document and shows them in the browser.

How it works

  1. Fill in the form below (about 10 minutes): the idea, how it makes money, your pricing guess, who you think the customers are, what you already have (list, audience, product, partners), competitors you know of, and how far along you are.
  2. We run the full 10-step evaluation at no cost. You get a private link to the hub with every document, the GO, PIVOT, or NO-GO recommendation, and a ranked list of what to test next, usually within a few weeks. If we need more from you along the way, we book a short call.
  3. Then we help you execute: build the product, launch the marketing plan, and run the paid acquisition experiments. That is the engagement we quote.

Who it is for

  • Founders deciding whether to commit the next six months
  • Product leads who need to make the case for a new line of business
  • Investors and studios that want the same check on every bet

What you get

These are from a real run: we put the framework through its own process and evaluated it as a venture. Client evaluations are private, so some wording and figures here are illustrative. Click any screen to expand it.

Questions

What is the Venture Evaluation, and is it for me?

It is a 10-step check of a business or product idea, whether it is still on paper or already in market. It is for founders deciding whether to commit the next six months, product leads making the case for a new line of business, and investors and studios that want the same check on every bet.

Why should I trust an AI-built report on my idea?

The research is built and cross-checked by several AI models, with checkpoints and cross-audits along the way, and all of it is reviewed by us before you see it. Market sizing comes with sources, and demand signals are quoted from real reviews, forums, and communities. We have used it on Trustfecta and ThinkOS, and the case studies are on the site.

What do I need to give you to get started?

A form that takes less than 10 minutes. It gives us the basic inputs for your business, and we find the rest.

What does it cost?

Nothing. We run the full 10-step evaluation at no cost for teams we could work with. When you want help building the product or taking it to market, that is the engagement we quote.

Do I have to hand over data, and is my idea kept confidential?

By default we work from public information only, so you do not have to share data to start. If you share analytics, customer data, or financials, that supplements the research; it never replaces it. Everything you share is confidential, and results come to you through a private link.

How is the verdict decided, and what does NO-GO mean?

In step 2, before the rest of the research, we define the key metrics and thresholds the idea needs to pass. The verdict is GO, PIVOT, or NO-GO, judged against those thresholds. NO-GO means the evidence did not pass them.

What do I get back, and can I share it with a board or investors?

Each of the 10 steps produces its own document, written so you can hand it to a co-founder or investor. The financial model is a working spreadsheet with three 12-month scenarios. Everything is delivered in a private web page that links every document and shows them in the browser, ending with a confidence score, the verdict, and a ranked list of what to test next.

What does the Go to Market half add?

Planning answers whether you should do this. Go to Market answers how you would win: audience personas and triggers, what to say to each persona and in what order, a marketing plan (positioning, channels, funnel, content, budget), and a paid acquisition plan (campaigns and multivariate experiments).
